Interview: Kevin Chalfant von TWO FIRES

So, das nächste Interview. Diesmal mit Kevin Chalfant von TWO FIRES.

Hi Kevin, I am Michael from Melodic-Rock-Inside.com. Thank you for having time for the interview. I have some question for you .
1.What are you currently up to?

Thanks Michael for taking time to mention the new Burning Bright CD. I have been working on several productions. Burning Bright has been my main focus, but I also produce other artists as well. Recently I have been working with a young artist m\named Mitch Rose. I also produced the lead vocals from Edens Curse with Michael Eden. I am also performing live with Two Fires and Voices of Rock Radio ( www.voicesofrockradio.com )
2. Could you take us through your excellent album „Burning Bright“ and some of the ideas/stories behind the songs please...
Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid is a song that I co wrote with Neal Schon and Gregg Rolie in 1993. It is a soulful ballad type song. Also, another song Hold On To Your Dream is a song that expresses hope and faith to believe in your dream because when you do, and work hard, your dreams come true. I am living proof of this. Answer To My Prayer is another example of pop music with a great message of life. Many songs on this cd have great messages of life and love.
3.From your career to date what would you change in hindsight if you could and why??
If I could change anything, I would have been more involved with managers actions from day one. Being a trusting person is a good thing, but having the knowledge at an early age would have saved me many steps.
4.Any good rock 'n' roll tales to tell??
I have a lot of them, but I sworn to the "Code of the Road" Sorry, you just have to join us next time :^) Performing with greats like Journey and Alan Parsons are at the top of my list. God knows I am a happy man these days.

5.Where do you get your songwriting ideas from and who musically is an influence on you?
God has been my influence for many years. My family gives me inspiration and I look at the world around me scary huh? Paul McCartney was one of my first inspired musician influences. His melodies are second to none.
6.What piece of advice would you pass on to budding musicians wanting to start out today in the music business??
Protect yourself and your songs. Do as much as you can on your own. Use the intenet as a networking tools, but make you music first and foremost. In the end, if your music sucks... you have noone to blame but yourself. If you aren't a great writer, find one and collaborate.

7.When you are not so busy and hopefully you find time to relax; what do you like to do to relax and do you have any fanatical hobbies or collections?
I am a car guy. I love races and show cars. I recently joined a car club to get back into building and racing.
8.What really gets on your nerves and really annoys you at the moment?
Obama annoys me badly. I do not like to direct he is steering our great nation.
9. Message to your fans...
I love you guys and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for hanging in there with this guy who loves to sing. I hope I sing in your town soon. Burning Bright is my latest attempt to make your happy. I makes me happy.
Thank you , good luck with the new album and all the best for the future.
